The Pearce Building, Maidenhead
Part of a flagship regeneration development, this 8-storey office building with 2-storey basement car park provides 50,000 ft2 of high quality lettable CAT A office space on a key arterial route, overlooking a park on one side and integrated into the townscape on the other.
White Ink Architects worked closely with McAleer & Rushe D&B Contractors to develop the SCD Architects’ RIBA Stage 2+ design and deliver a commercially viable high quality office, designed to BCO standards which achieved BREEAM Excellent.
The angled flush-pointed glazed facade with its raking glazed ‘prow’ affords stunning views to the park to the north while, to the south, the building responds sympathetically to an adjacent listed church with a stepped warm yellow brick façade punctuated by box-framed glazed screens.
