This is a significant Design and Build hotel development White Ink Architects delivered with McAleer & Rushe D&B Contractors for Bath Road Corp SARL overlooking the runway at Heathrow Airport T5.

White Ink worked closely with McAleer & Rushe from tender stage to develop the RIBA Stage 2+ design by ICA Architects, including optimising the layout to provide structural efficiencies to the concrete frame structure.

The 623 bedroom hotel located over six floors is designed as a linear figure of 8 and arranged around internal and external courtyards overlooked by guest bedrooms.

The hotel combines two IHG brands in one building, comprising 433 Holiday Inn Bedrooms and 190 Staybridge Suites with shared gym facilities and separate public areas including reception, restaurant, bar, conference suite and car parking to the rear of the site.

The façade design overcomes the acoustic challenges created by the proximity to the airport, with the Reglit façade providing an acoustic buffer to the guest bedrooms on the entrance elevation and the rainscreen cladding selected to avoid interference issues for the airport radar.
