Situated on a residential tree-lined street within the Malone Road Conservation area, this development comprises two independent blocks each of which contains 14 apartments for University staff. White Ink acted as both Architect and Lead Consultant for the development.

The scheme achieved Code of Sustainable Homes level 4 through the incorporation of high levels of thermal and sound insulation, water efficiency measures, use of materials from responsible sources with low environmental impact and the integration of whole house ventilation with heat recovery in combination with a low air permeability.

The buildings have been carefully located on the site to optimise natural light into the principal living areas in each apartment and create sunny courtyard garden spaces to the south of the site.  The modern design respects the traditional building line and is in sympathy with the grain of the built form of Windsor Park. The brick facade incorporates finely detailed brick textures – a modern reference to the exuberant brick detail of its Victorian neighbours.

Phase 2 was completed in July 2019. Read more.
